Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor

Contractor/Supervisor training for Asbestos Abatement is a comprehensive 5-day course including two days of hands-on training which reinforces class work and introduces actual workplace situations. This course meets the OSHA requirements for Class I and Class II Competent Person under 1926.1101, as well as the federal AHERA and ASHARA requirements for contractors and supervisors, and the National Emission Standard for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAPs) requirements for “on-site supervisor”. This course is accredited through the Illinois Department of Public Health, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and is taught by instructors with a vast level of experience in the abatement/construction industry.

In addition to IL, MO and Arkansas, our certificates for the in person initial and refresher courses for Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor are accepted by Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky (certificate needs to be embossed), Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina (certificate needs last 4 digits of student’s SSN), Utah, West Virginia and Wyoming (additional state licensing fees may apply). Please inform your instructor if you will need your certificate embossed or your last 4 digits of your SSN added.

 

Note: This class is required to obtain certification/licensing through Illinois and Missouri (in addition to other prerequisites). Students who graduate from this class are also eligible to obtain Asbestos Worker certification & licensing as well.

Refreshers:
This annual “refresher” is required for license renewal and for maintaining accreditation under AHERA, ASHARA and the OSHA standards. It is a 1 -day course which reviews the contractor-supervisor-project manager’s duties and responsibilities and covers recent legislative changes and advances in technology.
